Courier
A viewer and converter for Final Draft (FDX) screenplays.
- PDF: prints FDX the way Final Draft 13 does, with the same pages, line breaks, glyph positions, styles and decorations. It uses Courier Prime in place of Courier Final Draft.
- Fountain: converts FDX to Fountain.
- Viewer (macOS): pages laid out as they print. It also has an outline, notes, find, light and dark appearance, signed self-updates, and reopens each script where you left it.
Build
Requires Zig 0.17. The libraries are path dependencies, so clone them next to this repo: zfdx, platen, zfountain, dvui, dvui-sokol, sokol-capture and zupdate.
zig build # zig-out/bin: courier, courier-viewer, pdfcmp
zig build test # unit tests
zig build run -- file.fdx # the viewer
zig build bundle # zig-out/Courier.app
zig build install-user # Courier.app into ~/Applications
